What it does
AMC Ahmedabad sealed 385 PGs in September 2025 for missing No-Objection Certificates. The four mandatory NOCs are: Society, Fire, Police, and BU (Building Usage). Each expires on its own schedule. Miss one and your business stops.
PG Saathi tracks all four. Upload a PDF or JPG once, set the expiry date, and the system reminds you 60, 30, 15 and 7 days before expiry — both on WhatsApp and in the dashboard. The reminders escalate as the date approaches.
There's also a contract-compliance check that runs daily: any tenant signed for less than 90 days, or with rent above ₹20,000/month, would break the Supreme Court Taghar exemption that keeps GST at 0%. The bot flags those before they cost you.

Why it matters
AMC inspections are unannounced. Having a current NOC for each of the four authorities is the difference between a routine visit and a sealed building. Reminders 60 days out give you the lead time to renew without rushing.

Issued by your building's society or RWA committee. Confirms the society has no objection to the unit being used as paying-guest accommodation. Required by AMC for any inspection of a residential PG.

Ahmedabad Fire & Emergency Services (Gujarat Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act, 2013)
Issued under section 14 of the Gujarat Fire Act. Mandatory for buildings above 15m or with PG occupancy. Renewed annually after on-site inspection of fire-safety installations (extinguishers, hose reels, signage, exit lighting).

Ahmedabad City Police Commissionerate (Bombay Police Act, 1951 — local thana)
Tenant verification under section 80B(1) of the Bombay Police Act. Each tenant submits Form-V to the local police station; the commissionerate issues an annual aggregate certificate for the PG. Required to operate; periodic spot-checks.

Granted by AMC after construction matches the sanctioned plan. Confirms the structure is fit for residential use. Without BU, the building cannot legally be occupied — including for PG.
