UPI without middlemen
Tenants pay UPI directly to your bank — no aggregator, no PA license, no escrow.
What it does
When a tenant types `pay`, the bot returns a one-tap UPI deeplink that opens GPay/PhonePe/Paytm with your UPI ID, the exact amount due, and a unique reference code (UPI ref). The tenant taps, confirms, money lands directly in your bank account. PG Saathi never touches the funds.
After the tenant pays, they send the 12-digit UTR back to the bot. You verify it from your bank statement and send `verify`. The invoice flips to paid and the tenant gets a receipt.
This split — initiation by tenant, verification by you — is what keeps PG Saathi outside the RBI Payment Aggregator (PA) license regime. We are a messenger, not an intermediary.
On WhatsApp
- Tenant: `pay` → gets UPI link with amount + ref.
- Tenant pays in their UPI app, sends the 12-digit UTR.
- Owner: `verify` → confirms the payment.
On the dashboard
/payments → Pending UTR confirmations. Cross-check with your bank statement, click Verify or Reject.
Why it matters
Payment aggregator licenses cost ₹15 lakh in net worth and three months of paperwork. By keeping money on rails you already trust, PG Saathi avoids that entire stack — the bot's job is to make sure the right amount and reference reach the right tenant's UPI app.
